'OWTFH'
Broadly speaking, this piece is about the Overton window and use of language to manipulate and obfuscate.
Rights and freedoms are stripped down not in a single strike, but little by little, over long periods of time.
This series examines the use of language to manipulate and propaganda. Also, the cowardice of refusing to be explicit and commit to one’s use of words.

'OWTFH' Faux leather and spike studs on wooden board, 60cm x 79cm, 2025

This art is undoubtedly an exploration of violence and is somewhat sympathetic to the negative and extreme feelings expressed by a minority of the exploited and oppressed. The morality of violence is questioned but the focus is more on how unsuccessful a tactic it is.

We can’t snatch back our lost freedoms and control. We must subversively slide them back, glacially. One millimetre at a time. Progress is not swift and violent; it is slow and dignified and that requires hope, patience and resilience.
